Scribblenauts
-Story-
You contol a boy called Maxwell and you have to collect a star-like thing called a starite at the end of the level. That's all for the story.
-Gameplay-
Hmm...Some people say that the story makes the game, but this is not the case. At least not with this game. The special, even unique feature of this game is that you can type virtually anything into a keyboard, and the object will materialise above your head. Simple? Well, yes, in a way. But the thing that keeps this game anything but boring is that every stage is significantly different, requiring you to think outside the square to overcome any obstacles. wings, pegasus, jetpack, shotgun, dragon, sniper, rail gun, god, black hole, devil, fighter jet, UFO. You name it, the game's probably got it. However, so far I have noticed one thing missing. And that's the matchbox.
This game does not come without issues. The controls are absolutely terrible. You touch the screen to move about, and normally Maxwell would jump before I want him to, jump too late, jump about for no reason, run off an edge just by lightly tapping the screen, and so on. It feels like as if Maxwell was some guy who's close to weightless.
Also, when the number of items on the screen builds up, the game will start to lag, which makes it really hard to play. This makes the gaame generally unresponsive and it will be hard to make Maxwell move to where you want him to.
-Graphics-
Seriously? It's an animated game, so expect what you would expect in a cartoon.
-Sound-
Well, it's just basic sound effects and some decent music, but don't expect too much.
-Final Comments and Rating-
Well, I like the creativity of this game. It's virtually unlimited. However, there are only a handful of objects that you will use consistently, because many items have similar or even the same effects. If you want to, you can experiment with some items. It's pretty fun to do that. For example, god vs. the devil. Who will win? Well of course god would win, but if you introduce a black hole, it would suck everything except the terrain into it and kill any living being. Like god. Of course, that was just an example. You could try with dragons, Behemoths, T-rexes, etc... Overall, it's a fun game that really pushes your creativity, but some issues make it not so attractive to play.

Re: Scribblenauts
I really hate the controls in Scribblenaut - I don't have a DS but I've played it on Emulator. It's frustrating. However, It is quite funny when you see a dragon being pulled into magma by you.
